DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, April 20 (PIA) -- The Social Security System (SSS) here issued show cause orders to at least eight business establishments in Dumaguete City for violating the social security ruling. As part of its Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign, the SSS conducted inspections on erring establishments and issued written orders for not remitting and registering their employees’ contributions to SSS. Dumaguete City Branch Manager Elisa Llavan said eight establishments found violating the non-remittance of employees’ premiums and under-reporting of employees include three restaurants, farm supply wholesaler, cooperative, bakery, school, and jewelry shop. Llavan said that the said businesses have a total of P3.7 million SSS contribution delinquency, affecting 76 employees.
