SIQUIJOR, Siquijor, Dec. 5 (PIA) –- The 2023 Barangay and Sanggunian Elections (BSKE) in Siquijor province was a success as men and women in uniform along with the different government agencies, teachers and the electorates worked together for a peaceful, just, and clean 2023 BSKE, according to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) here.  Michelle Pusod, a teacher who served in one of the precincts in the Municipality of Siquijor, said she felt secured and protected with the presence of the security forces.  “I felt safe kay kabaw man ko nga naa ta’y mga (because I know that there are) uniformed personnel nga andam mo maintain sa kalinaw og ka organize sa election (who are ready to maintain peace and order, and the whole election was organized)," said Pusod.  She was impressed with the cooperation between the voters and watchers who contributed to a smooth flow of the election, from the casting of votes to the counting of ballots.   CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) -- The Police Regional Office 7 (PRO-7) and the Commission on Election (COMELEC) in Central Visayas are all set for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election on October 30.  “We are 90% prepared in terms of accountable forms and on augmentation of uniformed personnels,” said COMELEC-7 Administrative Officer Ivan Jason Delos Santos during the recent Kapihan sa PIA interview.  The ten-day campaign period started on October 19 and will end on October 28.  Delos Santos said that teachers who will serve members of the electoral board have already been briefed by Atty.   DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, October 16 (PIA) -- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is expected to impose a curfew on some areas in the province and strengthen the ban on the release of public funds or certain prohibitions related to the conduct of the elections in Negros Oriental. This was disclosed by COMELEC-7 Regional Director Atty. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)   TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 1 (PIA) – A Commission on Election (COMELEC) official in Bohol has urged the winning or losing candidates in the 2022 local and national elections to immediately file their Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) relative to the campaign and other election-related expenses.
