PDIC to bid out Luzon, Visayas residential and commercial lots on January 19-20

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) will accept bids for 45 residential and commercial lots located in various provinces of Luzon and Visayas on its e-bidding portal at https://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph starting at 9:00 am on January 19, 2023 until 1:00 pm on January 20, 2023, and shall be opened at 2:00 pm on January 20, 2023.  To be sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis and with a total minimum disposal price of P121.2 million, these properties are owned by PDIC or closed banks under liquidation by PDIC and located in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Iloilo, Laguna, Leyte, Marinduque, Nueva Ecija, Occidental Mindoro, Pangasinan, Quezon, and Rizal. These include 28 residential lots, 12 residential lots with improvements, three commercial lots with improvements, and two subdivision/residential lots. PRESS RELEASE: Depositors of Rural Bank of Larena have until Dec. 10 to file deposit insurance claims

  The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced that depositors of the closed Rural Bank of Larena (Siquijor), Inc. have until Dec. 10, 2021 to file their deposit insurance claims. The last day for filing deposit insurance claims was moved to Dec. 10, 2021 from Oct. 11, 2021 to allow the depositors more time to prepare the required documents for filing of claims, and to ensure that affected depositors are not disenfranchised because of the implementation of community quarantine. Based on latest PDIC data, deposit insurance claims for 184 deposit accounts with aggregate insured deposits amounting to P1.1 million have yet to be filed by depositors. Data also showed that as of Oct. 31, 2021, PDIC had paid depositors of the closed Rural Bank of Larena (Siquijor), Inc. the total amount of P10.7 million, corresponding to 90.6% of the bank’s total insured deposits amounting to P11.8 million.
