Periodic Medical Exam alang sa mga may driver’s license, gitangtang na sa LTO

 


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, April 17 (PIA) -- Dili na obligahon sa Land Transportation Office (LTO) nga mopaubos sa dugang medical examinations ang mga may driver’s license nga may validity nga lima ug napolo ka tuig.

Kini human sa gipagawas nga direktiba ni LTO Chief Jay Art Tugade nga amyendahan ang LTO Memorandum Circular 2021-2285 o ang Supplemental Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act 10930.

Ubos sa nahisgotang memorandum, gawas sa regular nga medical examination isip requirement sa aplikasyon sa bag-o o renewal sa driver’s license, obligado na nga mopaubos sa periodic medical exam (PME) ang nahatagan og 5 ka tuig ug 10 ka tuig nga validity sa lisensya sa pagmaneho.

Sa kasamtangan, ang periodic medical exam sa indibidwal nga adunay driver’s license nga 5 ka tuig ang validity ginahimo sa ikatulong tuig sa petsa sa pagkatawo gikan makuha ang lisensya samtang matag ika-upat ug ika-pito nga tuig sa petsa sa pagkatawo gikan makuha ang lisensya alang sa may 10-year validity.

Apan matud pa ni LTO Chief Tugade, nadesisyonan sa ahensya nga dili na obligahon ang periodic medical examination base na usab sa gihimong pagtuon, mga nakuhang datos ug mga konsultasyon.

Nigawas usab sa mga datos nga ang kapakyas sa pagkuha og periodic medical examination dili apil sa mga hinungdan sa aksidente sa mga kadalanan.

Tungod niini, ubos sa ipatuman nga pag-amyenda kausa na lang ang mandatory medical examination ug kini matag dili pa makakuha o maka-renew sa driver’s license.

“For licenses who will be issued a 5-year validity driver’s license and 10-year validity driver’s license, the medical examination shall only be required sixty (60) days prior to or on the specified renewal date

Para sa mga lisensya nga mahatagan ug 5 ka tuig nga validity driver's license ug 10-year validity driver's license, ang medikal nga eksaminasyon kay gikinahanglan lamang ug kan-uman (60) ka adlaw sa wala pa o sa gitakda nga petsa sa pag-renew,” matud pa sa memorandum ni LTO Chief Tugade.

Alang usab sa mga Pilipinong adunay driver’s license nga nagtrabaho o nagpuyo sa ubang nasod, obligahon ang pagpahigayon kanila sa medical examination sulod sa katloan ka adlaw gikan sa pag-abot sa Pilipinas sa dili pa sila tugotan nga makamaneho.

Ang LTO nagtuo nga kining lakang maghatag og gamay’ng kahupay sa publiko tungod kay gawas sa dili na sila mogasto og balik-balik alang sa medical examinations, malikayan usab ang dugang kahasol ilabi na sa mga mahinungdanong oras alang sa trabaho. (ECB/PIA7 Bohol)

PVAO to partner with hospitals for improved medical care access of veterans
