Dakong pagus-os sa mga text scams namatyagan sa NTC

 


CEBU CITY, Cebu, April 27 (PIA) -- Gibutyag sa National Telecommunication Commission Region VII (NTC-7) ang dakong pag menos sa mga kaso sa text scams karon nga nagpadayon ang nasudnong pangpang rehistro sa mga Subscriber Identity Module (SIM).

Matod sa NTC-7, anaa sa 90% ang gitahong pagkunhod sa mga text scams kini mahitungod sa gipatuman nga SIM Registration Act kung diin gimandoan ang tanang mga SIM subsribers nga iparehistro ilang mga SIM.

“Sauna daghan gyud ni ang reklamo, but karon seldom nalang among nadawat so mao nang dako gyud kaayo ning tabang ang SIM registration” sigon ni NTC-7 Legal Officer Atty. Alan Felix Macaraya atol sa programang “KASAYURAN” niadtong Abril 26.

“Kay once ma register ang inyung SIM, dili naka madali-dali og ilad, dili na dali dali mabiktima sa scams mao kana ang bentahi nga makuha” dugang ni Macaraya.

Bisan paman nga ubay-ubay pa ang wala nakaparehistro sa ilang SIM Card, hugot nga gibatbat sa NTC nga dakong tabang na ang nahatag sa maong balaod sa pag batok sa mga text ug online scams nga kaniadto grabe nga mikatap.

Base sa uwahing datos nga gihatag sa mga telecommunication companies sa adlaw Abril 25, anaa na karon sa 54.37% ang nakaparehistro na sa ilang SIM card, kini mokabat ug 91,353,532 gikan sa kinatibuk-ang 168,016,400 SIM subscribers lakip nasod.

Gidasig ni Atty. Macaraya ang publiko nga magparehistro na sa ilang mga SIM card ug dili na angayan nga maghuwat pa sa gikatakdang deadline niini.

Ang pagkapakyas sa pagprehistro moresulta sa pag deactive sa SIM ug pagkawagtang sa ubang mga serbisyo nga kasamtangang magamit karon sa mga SIM subscribers apil niini ang posibleng pagkatang-tang sa mga application and online services.
