    DAUIS, Bohol, Dec. 4 (PIA) -- The Department of Tourism (DOT) inaugurated the first Tourist Rest Area (TRA) in Bohol at Brgy. Poblacion, Dauis on Dec. 2, 2023. Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco led the launching and official turn over along with Gregory Oller and Jetro Nicolas Lozada, assistant chief operation officers of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA). One of the flagship programs of DOT, the TRA is grounded on the department's vision to provide convenience and comfort to tourists. The facility offers clean restrooms for tourists in transit to the different tourist destinations in the province.   CEBU CITY (PIA) -- The Department of Tourism (DOT) kicked off its first Philippine Tourism Dive Dialogue in Cebu on September 14, 2023, which gathered over 300 dive tourism stakeholders in the country. The two-day dialogue aims to address current issues in diving tourism, promote collaboration among public and private stakeholders, advocate for sustainable practices, discussions on safety, standards, and accreditation of tourism-related establishments (TREs) for scuba diving, and the exploration of promising investment opportunities within the dive industry to foster the growth of dive tourism in the Philippines.   CORTES, Bohol, July 10 (PIA) -- Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado is eyeing to create a task force to go after operators running colorum businesses in the tourism industry here, especially in the transport sector. This move is in line with his efforts to level the playing field for the legitimate operators and the fly-by night operators in the province.
