PDRRMC to fund operation of ‘unused’ hyperbaric chamber

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, March 31 (PIA) -- The Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Council (PDRRMC), considering the critical role of an accessible and operational decompression chamber in Bohol in the upcoming Bohol Dive Loop Festival 2023 (Bholdex 2023), is helping fund its immediate operationalization. During its first quarter full council meeting on March 31, the PDRRMC approved a resolution funding for the immediate repair, operation, and operationalization of the facility which is now resting unused in Panglao, as critical emergency support for divers and patients who need immediate relief from decompression sickness. PNP7 on heightened alert for Holy Week, CNN anniversary

CEBU CITY, Cebu March 30 (PIA) -- The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) has heightened its security measures for the CNN or Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) Anniversary and Holy Week. CNN marks their 54th anniversary on March 29. PRO7 Regional Community Affairs Development Division (RCADD) Assistant Division Chief PLt.Col. Carlos Lacuesta Jr. admitted during the Kapihan sa PIA that there is still an insurgency problem in Region 7, but due to their enhanced counter measures, atrocities have become limited. Philhealth to RHUs, ABTCs: Apply for accreditation

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, March 30 (PIA) -- PhilHealth Negros Oriental has encouraged more local health offices and animal bite treatment center (ABTC) facilities in the province to apply for accreditation with the agency so they can become eligible providers of PhilHealth’s animal bite treatment package.  PhilHealth Provincial Head Maritess Que said in a Kapihan sa PIA forum that the agency offers P3,000 worth of treatment package to defray the cost of post-animal bite treatment of patients bitten by rabid dogs and other animals. CEBU CITY, Cebu, March 29 (PIA) -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 7 (DILG7) announced that they will be extending assistance to 10 former members of the New People’s Army from Negros Oriental under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP). The ECLIP is a package of financial inducements designed to encourage members of a communist terrorist group (CTG) to return to the folds of the law and begin a peaceful life anew, together with their respective families.   TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, March 27 (PIA) -- Gi- upgrade  sa  Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)  ang pagmonitor sa temperatura sa kadagatan ngadto sa  El Niño Watch , nga nagpasabot nga dako ang posibilidad nga mahitabo ang El Niño phenomenon sa mosunod nga unom ka bulan. USAID, Tagbilaran partner to empower OSYs

  TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, March 25 (PIA) -- The pandemic may have pushed teenagers out of school, but there is hope for them now as the City of Tagbilaran partnered with an international donor to give out-of-school youth (OSY) another chance to be back in school, get a job and be bosses themselves. Guindulman tops Bohol towns with DAR’s individual titling

  TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, March 24 (PIA) -- The town of Guindulman tops the towns with the largest coverage of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Support to the Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project with 96.7943 hectares now titled to 55 beneficiaries of the breaking into parcels of titled landholdings formerly owned by the landed families.  DAR Sec. Conrado Estrella III turned over 69 titles, some of them in the form of a Certificate of Land Ownership Agreement (CLOA) and some in electronic certificates.
