Tagbilaran City leads active COVID-19 cases in Bohol

 



CORTES, Bohol, Jan. 29 (PIA) -- Tagbilaran City logged the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in the province with 325 active cases, as Bohol sees 1,132 confirmed cases of the virus on Jan. 29 at 9:00 p.m. 

Next in the highest number of active cases is Dauis with 61 and Baclayon with 45. 

On the other hand, Panglao recorded 31 active COVID-19 cases, Loon with 23, Cortes with 22, and Maribojoc, Alburquerque and Antequera with 20 active cases each. 

Except for Corella, towns near Tagbilaran City have elevated number of cases, most of them seeing a rising trend after the holidays.

Across the island, Ubay in Bohol’s northeastern part records 45 active COVID cases, with Talibon coming in close with 43 cases, Trinidad with 15, and Alicia with 12.

On the southern part, Dimiao recorded 28 active COVID cases, while nearby Valencia logged 20 cases, and Carmen - which also shares a common border with the said towns - recorded 26 cases.

Meanwhile, Candijay has 19 active cases, Guindulman with 17, and Anda with 14.

Overall, Tagbilaran City keeps the highest number of active COVID cases at 325, followed by Dauis at second with 61 and ranked third

The Bohol Emergency Operations Center is again showing the red flags in the hospital utilization in Bohol’s primary to tertiary hospitals.

The Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, Bohol’s COVID-19 dedicated hospital and facility, recorded full bed utilization for COVID ICU, 60.53% COVID ward utilization, 100% COVID Isolation use, 100% COVID ventilator, full COVID Intensive Care Unit, and 100% mechanical ventilator use.

Secondary hospital Allied Care Experts Medical Center also reported full COVID ICU utilization, full COVID ward, full COVID isolation and full ICU. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)
