CEBU CITY, Cebu, Sept. 30 (PIA) -- Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar said Pres. Rodrigo Duterte's agenda of "Tapang at Malasakit,” which the various government agencies adhere to since he assumed leadership of the nation, embodies a whole of nation approach that enables him to fulfill his promise of real change to the lives of Filipino people.

Andanar said his agenda against corruption, criminalities, and societal ills of the nation resulted in the positive changes of the country; ensuring economic prosperity, proactive and efficient social services and upholding human rights aspects of the government that the previous administrations had failed to respond to.

As part of their nationwide campaign which highlights the remarkable accomplishments of the government under the Duterte administration, the PCOO has undertaken the on-the-ground operations for the Duterte Legacy communications campaign bridging the theme, “Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery,” bringing the services of the government to the grassroots level.

Together with the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Philippine National Police, the PCOO led the simultaneous launch of the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” in different regions throughout the country on Sept. 30.

In Region 7, the caravan was launched at the Police Regional Office 7 quadrangle in Cebu City.

"We are gathered here for the Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan to celebrate the goals we have accomplished, promises we have attained and lives we have changed for the better,” said Andanar in his virtual message.

The Communications secretary explained that through the Duterte Legacy campaign, the PCOO gets to report the multi-faceted achievements of Pres. Duterte to all Filipinos.

These achievements include economics, social services, infrastructure, peace and security, and the independent foreign policy.

Andanar said the PCOO continues its efforts to inform the public of the government's programs and services done by the government under the Duterte administration.

“We continue to see the importance of getting truthful information across all Filipinos because the right information can empower Filipinos, uphold the integrity of one's rights, and save lives, especially in the current pandemic situation,” he said.

“As we are at the tail end of our governance, may you continue to support us in the Duterte administration in fulfilling the promise of bringing the government closer to the Filipinos and providing a comfortable life for all,” Andanar added. (IDC/PIA7)
