Over 35,000 4Ps beneficiaries become ‘self-sufficient’ in Negros Oriental

This as DA noted that the demand for farmers has increased while the number of Filipinos going into farming is decreasing. “As we can see, the demand for farmers has increased. So, we can see that our farmers are moving away from their farms because they want to go to the city or other places to farm,” said DA-7 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division chief Aurea M. DSWD implements full online processing of minor travel clearance

  CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Central Visayas has announced that applications for minors traveling abroad are now exclusively processed online. Starting February 2025, the Centralized Processing Office – Minors Traveling Abroad (CPO-MTA) will process applications exclusively through its online platform at mta.dswd.gov.ph. DSWD7 Children Sector focal person Ligaya Dael said the shift to online processing aims to streamline the issuance of travel clearances for minors. “We can provide assistance on the online application process if they go to our office since it is still in a transition period but it is still online,” Dael said during the recent Kapihan sa PIA forum. Siquijor health authorities on alert vs emerging zoonotic disease

  SIQUIJOR, Siquijor (PIA) — The Department of Health (DOH) and the Provincial Health Office here are urging the public to stay vigilant amid detected cases of zoonotic disease in the province. In his Facebook page post, Gov. Jake Vincent Villa confirmed the detection of zoonotic disease cases in the province as he called for increased public caution, especially among individuals frequently exposed to goats, carabaos, and other livestock. “Ang probinsya sa Siquijor aduna nay confirmed cases sa sakit nga zoonotic disease nga gikan sa masakiton nga hayop ug posibleng motakod sa tawo,”  Villa said. Dumaguete coop donates tents, free Wi-Fi connection for park goers

The cooperative also signed a memorandum of agreement covering the turnover of the free public WiFi access to Pantawan People’s Park as well as in Quezon Park and the Dumaguete Public Market. DCCCO chief executive officer Mildredo Umbac formally turned over the tents to Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo on May 16 with the massage therapists, manicurists, and pedicurists as witnesses. City of Naga to sustain P20/kilo rice program
