CEBU CITY, Cebu Dec. 6 (PIA) -- Dul-an sa 300 ka mga displaced ug self-employed nga mga trabahante sa Lapulapu City ang makabenepisyo unya sa livelihood assistance gikan sa DOLE nga mokabat ngadto sa P8.5 million nga kinatibuk-ang kantidad,

Ang DOLE-7 nipagawas sa pundo ngadto sa local government unit sa Lapulapu City isip partner niini sa pagpatuman sa mga proyekto sa mga benepisyaryo, atol sa DOLE-7 Stakeholders' Dialogue and Recognition nga gipahigayon niadtong Disyembre 1, 2023, ang kalihokan nga nagtimaan sa pagsugod sa usa ka semana nga pagsaulog sa ika-90 nga anibersaryo sa pagkatukod sa maong ahensya.

Personal nga gitunol ni DOLE-7 Regional Director, Lilia A. Estillore, ang duha ka tseke sa LGU Lapulapu City nga nagkantidad ug Php8,567,230.00.

LGU-Lapulapu will be our partner in the implementation of the projects of the beneficiaries. They will also help us monitor the status of each livelihood undertaking. With this, we are assured that apart from DOLE, another entity will be looking at them and at how they will be managing their respective businesses,” batbat ni Estillore.

Mokabat sa P2.5 milyon gikan sa kinatibuk-ang kantidad ang magpundo sa mga livelihood projects sa 97 displaced workers nga sa dili madugay makabaton na unya sa mosunod nga mga klase nga panginabuhi: Sari-Sari Store, Bigasan, Tailoring Services, Negosyo sa Kariton (NegoKarts), Hot and Cold Vending Machines, Hog Raising, Crispy Chicken Selling, Guitar Production, Computer Services ug Photocopying Services.

Samtang, ang bahin sa kinatibuk-ang kantidad nga P5.9 milyon mopondo usab sa pag-operasyon sa mga proyekto sa panginabuhian sa anaa sa 200 ka mga self-employed nga trabahante sa nahisgotang syudad.

Gawas sa mga livelihood services, giangkon usab sa DOLE-7 ang bayronon sa GSIS personal accident insurance coverage sa grupo sa mga benepisyaryo sulod sa usa ka tuig.

PVAO to partner with hospitals for improved medical care access of veterans
