56 teams join Sandugo 3X80 adventure MTB opener in Bohol

  TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 4 (PIA)-- A total of 168 riders comprising 56 teams of three endurance mountain bikers (MTB) from Bohol and the region participated in the the 80-kilometer course in the Bike Ta Bai’s Sandugo 3x80 MTB Adventure Race Season II, which sped off early morning from the new provincial Capitol on July 2. Bike ta Bai (BtB), a Boholano non-profit sports group of avid mountain bikers and trail seekers with a portfolio of properly organized races, offered a new format for the uninitiated in the new BtB types of races. NFA keeps 25,000 bags of rice in daily inventory

  TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 17 (PIA) -- Keeping an optimal buffer stock to be able to respond to relief operations in calamities and emergencies, the National Food Authority (NFA) in Bohol has 25,000 bags of locally procured rice in its bodega. Tasked by law to distribute rice for local government relief operations in crisis situations, the NFA, however, believes they still need to get 15-30 days of buffer stocks to comply with their new mandate. Speaking during the recent  Kapihan sa PIA  to share updates on the province’s preparations for the forecasted El Niño to hit anytime soon, NFA Bohol Branch Manager Pilita Barajan said they now keep 25,000 bags of rice in their bodegas.   TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, July 22 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Bohol has turned over the responsibility of running the province’s premier crafts fair and local products showcase to its private sector partners. The crafts fair which started in 1989 jumped from one location to another until it finally found a permanent annual home in the Island City Mall, said John Jerome Gabin, DTI Bohol micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) Division Chief. The fair, which has been an annual showcase local craftsmanship of the island’s rich heritage and cultural diversity, has been assisted by the DTI and its product development consultants to ensure their products have a market future. 16th National Museum opens in historic Cebu
