LTO7 mipahinumdon sa luwas nga pagbyahe karong Semana Santa

CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) – Gipahimangnoan sa Land Transportation Office – Central Visayas (LTO-7) ang tanang mga motorista, drayber, ug operators sa mga pampubliko ug pribadong sakyanan nga magbyahe karong Semana Santa nga magmatngon ug magbantay sa ilang seguridad ug kaluwasan sa kadalanan.

Sumala sa LTO-7, nagpakatap sila ug mga law enforcers sa tanang mga terminal ug seaport sa tibuok rehiyon aron masiguro ang hapsay ug luwas nga pagbyahe sa mga pasahero karong umaabot nga Semana Santa.

Atol sa gipahigayon nga Kapihan sa PIA niadtong Abril 10, si LTO-7 chief sa Intelligence and Investigation Unit Hakam Y. Nepomuceno miingon nga ang ilang ahensya nagpatuman usab og random drug ug liquor testing sa mga drayber aron masiguro nga walay mobyahe nga drayber nga ubos sa impluwensya sa ilegal nga droga ug sa ilimnong makahubog.

“Ang among tumong mao gyud ang pagpanalipod sa kinabuhi sa mga pasahero. Gusto nato nga ang tanan makapauli o makabiyahe sa ilang mga destinasyon nga walay disgrasya,” sigon ni Nepomuceno.

Giawhag sa LTO ang tanang drayber, motorista, ug operators sa pagsunod sa mga traffic rules ug regulations aron malikayan ang mga aksidente o unsa mang kahasol sa kadalanan.

Nagpatuman usab ang LTO-7 ug mga nagkadaiyang random terminal inspections pagsusi sa mga sakyanan nga mogikan o moabot sa mga terminal kung kini naa ba sa saktong kondisyon ug luwas nga makabyahe.

Gimanduan usab nila ang mga enforcement personnel nga sigurohon nga roadworthy ang tanang public utility vehicles.

Samtang, nagbutang usab og mga help desks sa matag terminal ug seaport aron motabang sa mga pasahero ug motubag sa ilang mga pangutana ug reklamo.

Saysay sa LTO-7, ang ilang ahensya nagbantay ug nag monitor sa walo ka terminals ug pito ka seaports sa Cebu, upat ka terminals ug tulo ka seaports sa Bohol.

Sa Negros Oriental, adunay upat ka terminals ug tulo ka seaports ug usa ka terminal ug upat ka seaports usab sa Siquijor.

Dugang usab sa ahensya, nga nagpahigayon sila karon og Information and Education Campaign (IEC) pagpahibawo sa publiko ilabi natong mga drayber ug motorista kabahin sa mga angay ug dili angay buhaton sa pagbyahe aron malikayan ang kahasol ug disgrasya sa matag kadalanan.

“Para malikayan natu ang mga insidente ug mga kagubot sa kadalanan, maging mahinahon lang po tayo rati sa kalsada, to our motorcycle riders, drivers, please observe road courtesy,” batbat usab ni LTO-7 assistant regional director Arturo R. Apolinar atol sa susamang programa.

Gipahinumduman usab ang tanang motorista nga susihon una ang ilang mga sakyanan sa dili pa sila mobyahe, labi na katong mga lagyo ang mga destinasyon nga padulngan.

“Atong i check atong mga sakyanan, mga motor vehicles, before ta mobyahe, labi na sa mga motorista nga layo ang padulngan ngadto sa ilang mga probinsya, sa gihapon road safety is a shared responsibility so ato e-exercise ang disiplina ug ang defensive driving,” dugang ni Nepomuceno.

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. Dumaguete crime rate drops

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period.  The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023.
