PCG suportado sa DPWH pagtukod sa substations


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PIA) -- Human makig courtesy call ang bag-ong acting station commander sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Western Bohol ni District Engineer John Paul Gascon, mipasalig ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) nga motabang sa PCG sa pagpatukod og mga standard nga substations sa coast guard sa matag lungsod.

Kini maoy maayong balita nga bitbit ni PCG Lt. Junior Grade Romulo Balonga Jr., acting station commander sa PCG Western Bohol didto sa Kapihan sa PIA.

“Ganinang alas 9:00, mirender kita og courtesy call as atong District Engineer sa First District, fully supportive siya sa plano sa atong Coast Guard nga magtukod og mga substations, as long as ang yuta nga tukoran, iya sa goberno,” taho ni Balonga.   

Sa livestream nga makit-an sa PIA Bohol Facebook ug YouTube channel ug mabati sa DyTR AM matag Biyernes sa alas 4:00 ngadto sa alas 5:00 sa hapon, gidugang usab sa mga tinugyanan sa Coast Guard nga  himoon na ang blessing ug turn-over sa Philippine Coast Guard sub-station sa Baclayon karong Sabado.

Si Ensign Jonah Caderao, kinsa deputy commander for administration sa PCG Western Bohol, mibutyag usab nga tungod sa kalambuan, “dyutay na lang ang mga kalungsuran nga nasakop sa Western Bohol ang wala pay substation.”

Ang pagtukod og mga substation sa PCG sa matag lungsod, naaghat tungod sa ilang mga mandatus, ilabi na sa pagpatuman sa luwas nga mga kalihukan sa kadagatan, ug tabang sa pagpatuman sa mga balaod sa kalikopan, gipasabut ni Balonga.

Dihang gipangutana unsa nay dagan sa kampanya sa mga tinugyanan sa pagpanghangyo sa matag lungsod aron matukoran na og kaugalingon nga sub-stations sa kalungsuran, malipayon nga gitaho ni Caderao ang saysay.

“Good to know lang nga lami ang atong relationships sa mga LGUs. They really are doing their best to assist us with regards sa pagtukod sa mga substations,” malipayon nga pahayag ni Caderao.

“As of February 28, gaplano pa kita nga magtukod sa Clarin, Inabanga, Dauis diin anaa ang Special Operations Unit ug dili gyud substation kay dili organic nato sa PCG,” pasumpay ni Ensign Babe Jocelie Isaga, deputy commander for administration sa PCG Western Bohol.

Gawas niana, gikan lang kita nga nakigkita kang Mayor Jed Arturo Piollio, ug willing siya motabang og mohatag nato og opisina didto, dugang niya.

“Wala pa pud ta dire may sa Maribojoc ug Cortes, pero kana nga areas, under pa gihapon sa jurisdiction sa Coast Guard Substation Tagbilaran, hopefully, makompleto na ang mga substations sa Western Bohol by next year,” dugang ni Isaga. 

Importante ang presensya sa PCG sa matag lugar, kay ang gawas nga sila ang labing duol nga may kapasidad sa water safety, survival and rescue pinaagi sa ilang water search and rescue training.

'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
