MANILA, January 12 (PIA) -- Ang administrasyon ni Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. nihatag og kinatibuk-ang P91.47 milyones sa mga kanhi rebelde ug surrenderees isip tabang pinansyal ubos sa Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) package nga gidumala sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Sa ilang year-end report, ang DILG nagkanayon nga adunay kinatibuk-ang 1,119 ka mga kanhi rebelde, nga gilangkoban sa 821 ka New People’s Army (NPA) fighters ug 298 ka Militia ng Bayan (MB) members, ang nakadawat og financial assistance sugod niadtong Nobyembre 2023.

Lakip sa nagkalain-laing tabang ubos sa DILG package naglakip sa hinanaling tabang sa 1,055 ka benepisyaryo; livelihood assistance, 713; reintegration assistance, 1,074 ka benepisyaryo; ug renumerasyon sa 264 ka mga armas nga ilang gitugyan ngadto sa pwersa sa gobyerno.

Aron pagpalig-on sa mga paningkamot sa pagpatunhay sa kalinaw sa mga local government units (LGUs) ubos sa Campaign to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC), ang DILG nagpadayon sa pagpatuman sa Communicating for Perpetual End for Extreme Violence and Forming Alliance Towards Positive Peace and Enriched Communities (C4PEACE) nga programa.

Ang programa naggamit sa duha ka nag-unang mekanismo sa panag-uban: ang Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) ug ang Capacitating Urban Communities for Peace and Development (CUCPD), nga nagsuporta ug nagpalambo sa mga kapabilidad sa LGU sa pagsulbad sa mga kal-ang sa pagdumala ug kalamboan, ilabi na sa mga komunidad nga apektado sa panagbangi ug huyang nga mga komunidad.

Ang DILG, pinaagi sa Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Program, nagpadayon sa ilang pasalig sa pagpasiugda sa pakigbatok sa gobyerno batok sa bayolenteng ekstremismo.

Ubos sa maong programa, nagpahigayon kini og PCVE ug Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) awareness and preparedness training aron matubag ang grabeng hulga sa seguridad nga dala sa terorismo.

Gilatid usab niini ang mga estratehiya ug tahas sa mga partisipanteng ahensya sa pagtubag sa mga insidente sa CBRN aron mapalig-on ang mga lakang sa seguridad sa nasud.

Ang mga lokal nga opisyal, pinaagi sa Punong Barangays, Barangay Councilors for Peace and Order, ug Chief Tanods gikan sa 1,967 ka barangay gikan sa 2,000 ka target nga barangays sa tibuok nasud na-capacitated sa National Action Plan on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (NAP P/CVE), ang komprehensibo, nahiusa, ug gidungan nga nasudnong estratehiya sa gobyerno aron mapugngan ug masumpo ang mapintas nga ekstremismo. 'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

  CEBU CITY, Cebu, Oct. 24 (PIA) -- The Duterte Legacy Caravan in Cebu dubbed as “Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” highlighted the various projects and programs implemented in Cebu under the Duterte administration that has brought about a positive change in the lives of its beneficiaries.  Cebu province benefited from several projects from the Duterte administration under the "Build, Build, Build" program such as bridges, diversion roads, evacuation centers, municipal buildings, public markets, road concreting, farm to market roads,  among others. EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
