BFP magpatukod sa ilang Nat’l Fire Training Institute sa Ubay

 


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, January 4 (PIA) -- Tukuron dinhi sa Bohol ang National Fire Training Institute sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) didto sa gidonar nga lote sa lungsod sa Ubay, kini maoy kasayuran nga gipaambit sa BFP sa labing bag-o nga tigum sa Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Council, sa miaging semana.

"Daku nga bentaha ang masinati sa mga Bol-anon kon matukod na ang NFTI sa 1.3 ektaryas nga luna nga gidonar sa lokal nga kagamhanan sa Ubay pinaagi ni Mayor Constantino Reyes," matud pa ni Fire Chief Inspector Servando Jumawid didto sa tigum.

Dugang niya, "ang mga bag-o nga recruits karon, gikinahanglan pa nga magpaabut kanus-a tawagon sa ilang training schedule sa NFTI sa Camp Vicente Lim sa Calamba Laguna, nganhi na mabansay."

Gawas sa bentaha, ang Bohol usab mahimo nanga modawat sa mga trainees gikan sa ngakadaiyang lugar sa Visayas ug Mindanao, nga magdala usab sa kaayohan ngadto sa Ubay ug sa mga dapit diin ang mga bag-ong bombero makadeploy.

Gawas sa NFTI nga adto tukoron sa Ubay, magtukod usab ang BFP sa Provincial Fire Station didto sa usa  ka luna nga gihatag sa kagamhanang Probinsyal sa Bohol didto sa Cortes.

"Wala pay Provincial Fire Station alang sa Provincial Fire Marshal, ug squatter kita sa kanhi Tagbilaran City Airport," butyag ni Jumawid atubangan sa mga sakop sa konseho.

Kasamtangan nga may 646 ka personnel na ang BFP, may 62 ka personahe niini nga nabansay sa Emergency Medical Services (EMS), may 92 ka fire trucks nga naka deploy sa mga kalungsuran.

Gani, matud niya, ang tanan na nga mga kalungsuran sa Bohol aduna nay kaugalingon nga fire stations, bisan pa man nga dili tanan niini naka-angkon na sa typical fire station nga gidesinyo sa BFP.

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. Dumaguete crime rate drops

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period.  The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023. With the absence of drug dependents and pushers in Poblacion 4, 5, and 7, these are considered drug-free barangays, while Poblacion 6 was declared drug-cleared.  The City Health Office also noted that the low or no response to assessment of PWUDs are due to change of address, unknown whereabouts, conflict in work schedule, and imprisonment.  Meanwhile, the ...
