PH makakuha sa unang mga satellite nga gipahinungod lamang sa nasud

 



MANILA, Nov. 16 (PIA) -- Makuha sa Pilipinas ang unang mga satellites nga gipahinungod lamang sa nasud aron mapaayo ang koneksyon sa lagyong mga lugar.

Kini human ang Astranis ug Orbits mihimo og kolaborasyon niadtong Miyerkules aron madala ang internet connectivity ngadto sa mga unserved ug underserved nga mga lugar sa Pilipinas pinaagi sa paglusad sa MicroGEO satellites.

“Astranis and Orbits have also joined forces to bring internet connectivity to unserved and underserved areas in the Philippines. This $400 million partnership will help bridge our digital divide and foster our digital transformation (Ang Astranis ug Orbits nag-uban usab og pwersa sa pagdala sa internet connectivity ngadto sa wala ma-serve ug underserved nga mga lugar sa Pilipinas. Pinaagi sa panagtambayayong, ang Orbits ug Astranis mopakatag sa unang duha ka internet satellites nga gipahinungod sa Pilipinas, usa ka programa nga gilaumang makamugna og US$400 milyones nga pamuhunan sa mosunod nga walo ka tuig.

Kini nga mga MicroGEO satellites maghatag og serbisyo sa internet sa mga lugar nga wala pa naserbisyuhan ug kulang sa serbisyo sa Pilipinas, nga naglangkob sa hangtod sa 10 milyon nga tiggamit ug 30,000 ka mga barangay.

Ang programa gipaabot nga makamugna og labaw sa 10,000 ka trabaho alang sa direkta ug dili direkta nga mga empleyado ug kauban.

Atol sa kalihokan, gipahibalo ni Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez ang opisyal nga ngalan sa unang satellite nga “Agila” aron mapalambo ang diwa sa pag-uswag sa teknolohiya ug pagpalig-on sa internasyonal nga panag-uban.

Ang pagpili sa ngalan nga Agila adunay lawom nga kahulogan nga naglangkob sa dili matarug nga pasalig sa proyekto sa pagkonektar ug paghatag gahum sa nasud nga Pilipino pinaagi sa pagpalapad sa pag-akses sa digital nga kalibutan.  (ECB/PIA7-Bohol)

'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
