PBBM, nakakuha og AI-powered weather forecasting system alang sa Pinas


 


MANILA, Nov. 16 (PIA) -- Sa administrasyon ni Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr.n gilagdaan tali sa nag-una nga artificial intelligence (AI) meteorology company ug sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang usa ka memorandum of agreement (MOA)  alang sa pagpalambo sa high-resolution nga weather forecasting system alang sa Pilipinas gamit ang AI technology.

Gisaksihan ni Presidente Marcos, Jr. ang paglagda sa MOA ni DOST Undersecretary Maridon Sahagun ug Atmo Inc. Founder ug CEO Alexander Levy.

Matud pa ni Presidente Marcos, ang kooperasyon sa Atmo ug DOST sa usa ka AI-powered weather forecasting system makatabang sa Pilipinas sa pagtukod sa climate resilience.

Kini mao ang labing dako nga AI-driven weather forecasting program sa Asya, nga gilauman nga adunay importante nga papel sa pagpalig-on sa kalig-on sa Pilipinas.

Si Presidente Marcos midugang nga ang maong paglagda sa kasabotan dako og ikatabang sa Pilipinas sa weather forecasting, ilabina kay ang Pilipinas usa sa mga nasud nga labing apektado sa bagyo, nga adunay tinuig nga average nga 20 ka mga bagyo nga nagdala og grabeng pagbaha nga hinungdan sa binilyon nga kadaot sa imprastraktura ug agrikultura, ug pagkawala sa mga kabtangan ug pagkawala sa kinabuhi. 'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
