DOLE mipahinumdom sa paghatag 13th month pay

 



CEBU CITY, Cebu, Nov. 17 (PIA) -- Mipahinumdom ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa tanang mga employer ubos sa pribadong sektor nga i-release ang 13th-month pay sa ilang mga trabahante sa mga adlaw nga dili molapas sa Disyembre 24 karong tuiga.

Sa Labor Advisory 25, series of 2023, nga gi-isyu sa ahensya niadtong Nobyembre 8, gisubli usab ni Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma ang tinuig nga giya gikan sa departamento alang sa hustong pag-compute sa mandatory nga benepisyo alang sa tanang empleyado sa pribadong kompanya.

Ang 13th month pay ihatag ngadto sa tanang mga rank-and-file nga mga empleyado nga gibayran sa usa ka piece-rate nga basehan, fixed rate, o garantisadong sweldo ug komisyon; mi-resign; gipaundang sa trabaho; o kadtong naa sa maternity leave ug nakadawat og salary differential.

Ang minimum nga 13th-month pay dili moubos sa 1/12 sa kinatibuk-ang basic salary nga nakuha sa usa ka empleyado sulod sa calendar year nga gikuwenta ingon sa mosunod: total basic salary / 12 months = proportionate 13th-month pay.

Ubos sa Labor Code of the Philippines ug Presidential Decree 851, ginamando ang paghatag sa 13th-month pay ngadto sa mga trabahante sa pribadong kompanya.

Ang DOLE miingon usab nga dili kini motugot sa mga hangyo alang sa exemption o paglangan sa paghatag sa 13th month pay, ug nga ilang gipaabot nga ang tanang mga employers mosumiter sa ilang tagsatagsa ka compliance report dili molapas sa adlawng Enero 15, 2024.

Ang report kinahanglan maglangkob sa ngalan sa establisemento, addres, principal product or business, total employment, kinatibuk-ang ihap sa mga trabahante nga nakabenepisyo, ang kantidad nga gihatag sa matag empleyado, ug ang kinatibuk-ang kantidad sa mga benepisyo nga gihatag.

Uyon usab sa Department Order No. 328, Series of 2023, magpatuman usab ang mga DOLE Regional ug Field Offices lukop nasud og compliance monitoring aron nga masiguro nga mituman ang mga pribadong kompanya sa ilang tagsa-tagsang hurisdiksyon, sa mando nga paghatag og 13th month pay ngadto sa mga empleyado.

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. Dumaguete crime rate drops

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period.  The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023.
