Awhag sa DSWD sa publiko: Ayaw hatag og limos sa mga makililimos karong Pasko

 


MANILA, November 14 (PIA) -- Samtang ang Pasko panahon sa pagpanghatag, ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) niawhag sa publiko nga pugngan ang tinguha nga manghatag og limos, cash o in kind, sa mga street dweller o nagpuyo sa kadalanan.

“We discourage them po sa alms giving, sa paglilimos kasi encourage lang natin ating mga kababayan na manatili sa kalsada (Among gi-discourage ang paghatag og limos kay makadasig kini sa pipila ka tawo nga magpabilin sa kadalanan),” awhag pa ni DSWD Assistant Secretary Romel Lopez.

Ang Presidential Decree 1563 ubos ni kanhi Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Sr., nagsilot sa mga madakpan nga nanghatag og limos nga adunay multa ug pagkapriso hangtod sa upat ka tuig.

Ang DSWD nagkanayon nga aduna kini mga programa alang sa mga street dwellers sama sa Oplan Abot, nga naghatag og temporaryong kapuy-an, educational plan o enrollment. (ecb/PIA7-Bohol)

'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
