Unsa ang MATATAG K to 10 curriculum sa DepEd


MANILA, August 14 (PIA) -- Human sa upat ka tuig nga makugihon nga pagrepaso, pormal nga gilusad sa Department of Education (DepEd) niadtong Agosto 10, 2023, ang revised curriculum alang sa Kindergarten ngadto sa Grade 10.

Bisan sa wala pa kini unang gilusad sa School Year 2012 - 2013, aduna nay mga panawagan nga tukion pag-usab ang pagpatuman sa K to 12 Program tungod sa dugang mga tuig sa pagtungha sa batakang edukasyon.

Ang awhag sa pagrepaso sa K to 10 Program misamot kalig-on sa paglabay sa mga katuigan samtang ang mga Filipino nga nagkat-on nagpadayon sa dili maayo nga performance --- sa nasyonal ug internasyonal nga assessment sumala sa namatikdan sa DepEd.

Sa pag-ila nga gikinahanglan ang mga rebisyon sa kurikulum agig paglikay sa dugang nga pagkawala sa pagkat-on, ang DepEd mipagawas sa revised curriculum alang sa Kindergarten to Junior High School (JHS) nga gitawag og “MATATAG K to 10 Curriculum.”

Pormal na nga ipatuman ang revised curriculum ubos sa K to 12 Program sugod sunod school year.

Atol sa paglusad sa bag-ong kurikulum, si Bise Presidente ug Kalihim sa Edukasyon Sara Duterte niingon nga ang pagkawala sa pagkat-on sa mga estudyante tungod sa pagkaepektibo sa K to 10 curriculum.

Matud pa ni Duterte nga usa sa mga isyu nga nadiskubre mao nga ang kurikulum napuno sa daghang mga leksyon o mga hilisgutan.

Tungod kay ang mga magtutudlo ug mga tinun-an nabug-atan sa mga leksyon ug uban pang buluhaton ug kalihokan sa eskwelahan, si Duterte miingon nga ang ilang pagkahanas sa mga batakang kahanas --- sama sa pagbasa ug pagsulbad sa mga yanong problema sa matematika --- nakompromiso.

Ang nag-unang bahin sa giusab nga K to 10 curriculum mao ang pagkunhod sa gidaghanon sa mga kompetensya --- paghimo niini nga usa ka "leaner" nga bersyon sa kasamtangan nga kurikulum.

Ang giusab nga K to 10 curriculum magbutang usab og entablado sa pagbalik sa Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) isip learning area o subject ubos sa Republic Act (RA) 11476 o ang GMRC and Values ​​Education Act of 2020.

Lakip sa talagsaong kausaban sa “less congested” K to 10 curriculum mao nga ang learning areas sa Grade 1 ug 2 giputol gikan sa siyete ngadto sa lima.

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. Dumaguete crime rate drops

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period.  The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023.
