MANILA, Aug.16 (PIA) -- Si Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. nipahimangno niadtong Miyerkoles sa paggukod sa mga rice hoarders ug price manipulators nga mopahimulos sa lean months sa dili pa ang ting-ani taliwala sa gikataho nga pagsaka sa presyo sa bugas sa merkado.

Ang Presidential Communications Office (PCO) niingon nga si Presidente Marcos nihatag og gibug-aton nga adunay igong suplay sa bugas tungod kay ang administrasyon karon nakigtambayayong sa pribado nga sektor aron i-rationalize ang mga presyo ug pagkaanaa sa barato nga bugas sa merkado ug sa mga tindahan sa Kadiwa.

Rice supply is sufficient. Prices are, however very variable. The government is working with the private sector to rationalize the prices and make available affordable rice in the market and in Kadiwa (Igo ra ang suplay sa bugas. Ang mga presyo hinuon managlahi. Ang gobyerno nakigtambayayong sa pribado nga sektor aron i-rationalize ang mga presyo ug magamit ang barato nga bugas sa merkado ug sa Kadiwa,” ang PCO nagkanayon, nga nagkutlo sa Presidente.

Ang Department of Agriculture (DA) nitaho nga ang mga retailer namaligya og bugas sa managlahing presyo diin ang uban namaligya og bugas sa tag P38-P40 matag kilo isip labing barato samtang ang uban nagbaligya sa ilang pinakabarato nga barayti sa tag P50 matag kilo.

Tungod niini, ang PCO miingon nga ang Presidente mimando sa DA ug sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) sa pag-monitor pag-ayo sa presyo sa bugas sa lainlaing mga merkado sa nasud. (ECB/PIA7-Bohol)

OCD-7: ‘Only OCD can hold incident command system trainings’

He emphasized that only OCD is accredited to conduct trainings on Incident Command System. (PIA-7)  CEBU CITY, CEBU (PIA) — Only the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) can conduct training on the Incident Command System (ICS). This was emphasized by OCD-7 regional director Joel Erestain during the 13th episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas on Aug. 20 in Cebu City.  As the executive arm of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), OCD conducts ICS trainings, which is a standardized approach to managing emergency responses and disasters. “So kung mayro’ng mga iba na nagsasabi na nagte-train daw, hindi po sila accredited.
