650 ka bakhaw nga seedlings, gitanom sa lungsod sa Loon


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 13 (PIA) -- Sa pagsaulog sa Philippine Environment Month, ang Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), pinaagi sa Bohol Provincial Environment Office (BPEMO), nananom og 650 ka bakhaw sa Brgy. Basdacu sa lungsod sa Loon, niadtong Hunyo 9, 2023.

Kini nga kalihokan kabahin sa Trees for Unity Program ni Gobernador Erico Aristotle Aumentado, nga gitumong aron mabalik ang pagkawala sa mga punoan sa bakhaw sa lugar tungod sa Bagyong Odette niadtong 2021.

Ang mga partisipante nananom og mga seedlings sa Avicennia Marina, lokal nga nailhan nga Bungalon, usa ka matang sa mangrove species nga endemic sa 7,500 sq.m area sa Loon Uplifted Terrace, usa ka giila nga geosite nga bahin sa Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.

Ang Bungalon gikonsiderar nga hinungdanon sa lokal nga tradisyonal nga kultura, nga sagad gigamit alang sa tambal sa mga katawhan.

Kauban sa BPEMO sa maong kalihukan mao ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR)-Bohol City Environment & Natural Resources Office (CENRO), ang Gloria Maris Assembly No. 15 Rainbow for Girls, Basdacu coastal development Association (BACODA), Jetti Petroleum Phils, Holy Name University, ug ang Provincial Information and Media Office.

Ang Trees for Unity Program ubos sa Strategic Change and Development Agenda sa PGBh ubos sa Environmental Sustainability, nga nagtumong sa paghimo sa usa ka lig-on ug berde nga Bohol pinaagi sa pagpatuman sa maayong mga programa sa kinaiyahan.

Uban niini nga kalihokan, ang PGBh naglaum nga makamugna og usa ka mauswagon nga ekosistema nga nag-host sa lain-laing mga espisye pinaagi sa mga bakhaw. (ECB/PIA7-Bohol)

PVAO to partner with hospitals for improved medical care access of veterans
