SSS brings eWheels closer to member-clients in Negros Island

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, May 19 (PIA) -- The Social Security System (SSS) in Negros Island has served 877 clients and 1,024 transactions processed in a service on wheels or eWheels in different areas of the island.

This is to bring the services closer to its members.

SSS "eWheel sa Barangays" visited barangays Sta. Agueda and Poblacion of Pamplona and San Jose towns, respectively, all of Negros Oriental; including Barangays Alijis, Payao of Bacolod City and San Carlos, respectively, all of Negros Occidental for the client-members have availed the opportunity to transact with SSS in a more convenient way.

The SSS team also participated in the Job Fair in EB Magalona town as part of the Visayas West 1 Division celebration of Labor Day.

Dr. Lilani Benedian, vice president of Visayas Division, said that on top of their regular activities, the SSS joined various local government unit and school activities like job fairs and festivals as extension of off-site booth.“We believe that the labor force covers not only the employed workers but also the self-employed and voluntary members who toil for their everyday sustenance,” said Benedian.

The “SSS eWheels sa Barangay” is a mobile service program launched in March this year to bring SSS services closer to the barangays and teach its clientele on how to use various digital platforms like the SSS Website, My.SSS Portal, USSSap Tayo Portal, and the SSS Website.

Services that are also available at the eWheels include issuance of Social Security (SS) Number, My.SSS registration and password resetting, Payment Reference Number (PRN) generation for contribution and loan payments, online application for Salary Loan, Pension Loan, and ConsoLoan (Loan condonation), Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM), Online submission of Benefit claim application via My.SSS Portal, Member Data Change Request, response to inquiries, and distribution of SSS Forms.

PVAO to partner with hospitals for improved medical care access of veterans
