PBBM mipasalig: COVID-19 allowance magpadayon bisan pa sa pagtangtang sa health emergency

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, Feb. 8 (PIA) -- Nipasalig si Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa mga Filipino health worker nga ang administrasyon magpadayon sa paghatag sa ilang mga benepisyo bisan pa sa pagtangtang sa state of health emergency sa nasud tungod sa COVID-19 pandemic.

“Kahit hindi itinutuloy ang state of calamity ay hindi maapektuhan ang pagbayad doon sa ating mga health workers ng kanilang mga benefits,” pasalig pa ni Marcos human sa meeting kauban sa mga health officials sa Malacañang.

Ang Presidente mitaho usab nga ang COVAX Facility nagpadala ug 1.3 milyones nga doses sa mga bakuna sa Pilipinas nga igo na alang sa nasud sa pagkakaron. Gitataw niya nga adunay pagkunhod sa gidaghanon sa mga impeksyon ug pagka-ospital sa nasud kun itandi sa miaging mga tuig.

“Hindi na kailangan kagaya ng 2021 na lagi tayong nagmamadali makakuha ng vaccine dahil pabawas na ‘yung risk, so dapat naman eh mag-adjust din tayo doon sa kung ano ba talaga ang scientific na assessment doon sa sitwasyon ng COVID,” matud pa sa Presidente.

Samtang ang Department of Health (DOH), atol sa National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Philippine Development Plan (PDP) Forum alang sa 2023-2028 naglatid sa mga mahinungdanong aksyon sa ahensya aron mabatukan ang nag-unang isyu sa sektor sa panglawas.

Ang vision sa Health Sector Strategy alang sa 2023-2028 naghatag gibug-aton sa mahinungdanon nga mga sangkap nga nagpasiugda sa upat ka dagkong mga haligi sa balangkas: 1) Usa ka katilingban nga nagpasiugda sa pisikal, mental, ug sosyal nga kaayohan; 2) Paghatag ug gahom sa mga komunidad ug panimalay sa paghimog himsog ug may kahibalo nga mga pagpili; 3) Paghatag og akses sa publiko ug pribado nga mga sistema sa paghatod sa pag-atiman sa panglawas; ug 4) Pag-capacitate sa mga lakang aron mapalig-on ang sistema sa kahimsog sa pagsuporta sa uban pang mga sangputanan.

Uban niini sa hunahuna, ang DOH karon nagtinguha sa pagkab-ot sa upat ka dagkong estratehikong resulta: 1) Pagpauswag sa sosyal nga determinant sa kahimsog; 2) Makapahimo sa himsog nga mga pagpili ug pamatasan; 3) Pagpauswag sa akses sa mga Pilipino sa kalidad ug episyente nga pag-atiman sa panglawas; ug 4) Pagpalig-on sa mga sistema sa kahimsog sa nasud.

POPCOM7 strengthens KATROPA implementation in CV LGUs

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. The office is still awaiting the result for these two samples which will be available by Wednesday, Dec 29. Dumaguete crime rate drops

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period. The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023. With the absence of drug dependents and pushers in Poblacion 4, 5, and 7, these are considered drug-free barangays, while Poblacion 6 was declared drug-cleared.
