NTC7, telcos mopahigayon og remote SIM registration sa Moalboal, Cebu

CEBU CITY, Cebu, Enero. 24 (PIA) -- Ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) sa Rehiyon 7 mangulo sa pagpahigayon sa remote SIM registration sa lungsod sa Moalboal karong Enero 25.

Ang kalihokan kabahin sa tulo ka adlaw nga nationwide facilitated SIM registration gikan sa Enero 25 ngadto sa 27 sa nagkalain-laing hilit nga dapit sa nasud.

Matod ni NTC7 Legal Officer Atty. Allan Macaraya, Moalboal ang napili nga pilot area sa rehiyon tungod kay kini adunay hinay o walay access sa internet connectivity.

Usa ka hamubo nga programa ang himuon sa Moalboal Municipal Hall ug human niini ang pagparehistro sa SIM pagahimuon nga libre ug bukas sa publiko.

Ang nationwide SIM registration nagtumong sa pagpausbaw sa pagpatuman sa Republic Act 11934, nga nailhan usab nga Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration Act.

Gipangunahan kini sa Inter-Agency Committee on SIM Registration, uban sa National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) inubanan sa tulo ka dagkong telecommunication companies, nga mao ang: Smart, Globe, ug DITO.

Ang ubang mga sakop sa ahensya nga mohatag sa gikinahanglang suporta mao ang Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), ang Department of Education (DepEd), ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), ang Philippine National Police (PNP), ug Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Ang pagparehistro sa SIM naglangkob sa 45 ka remote areas nga naggikan sa 15 ka rehiyon sa nasud, diin ang mga nanguna nga ahensya ug ang mga telcos mag-deploy ug mga booths sa pagparehistro ug mga touchpoint aron matabangan ang mga residente sa ilang pagparehistro sa SIM ug aron matubag ang ilang mga pangutana ug kabalaka kabahin sa proseso.

Hatagan usab og priority lane ang mga senior citizens ug persons with disabilities aron mapadali ang ilang kaugalingong SIM registration.

Gipirmahan isip balaod kaniadtong Oktubre 2022, ang SIM Registration Act nagmando sa tanang mga subscribers nga magparehistro sa ilang SIM sulod sa gitakda nga deadline karong Abril 26.

Tumong niini nga masumpo ang padayon nga pagdaghan sa text, online, scam ug spam messages sa nasud, nga usa sa mga nag-unang adbokasiya ni Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ug sa iyang administrasyon. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)

'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta EngaƱo near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
