Mga mag-uuma sa Sugbu nakadawat og Agri lands

 Anaa sa trayntay tres (33) ka mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) sa lalawigan sa Sugbo ang nakadawat sa kinatibuk-ang 26.53 ka ektarya nga agricultural lands gikan sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Ang mga yuta nga gipang-apod-apod gikan sa mga lungsod sa Barili, nga naglangkob sa 12.68 ka ektarya nga giapod-apod ngadto sa 11 ka ARB; lungsod sa Badian, nga adunay 7.27 ektarya ngadto sa 14 ka ARBs; ug Argao, nga adunay 6.58 ektarya ngadto sa walo (8) ka ARBs.

“Nalipay kaayo mi nga nadawat na namo ang mga titulo sa yuta sa mga properties nga gitikad sa among mga katigulangan sa daghang katuigan. Daghang salamat sa DAR,” matod ni Nick Manigos, usa sa mga recepient nga naggikan sa lungsod sa Barili.

Kini nga aktibidad subay sa direktiba nga gimando ni Presidente Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., ngadto kang DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, nga mapadali ang pag-apod-apod sa mga yuta ngadto sa mga mag-uuma nga walay yuta.

Si Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Grace Fua, nipahalipay sa mga mag-uuma ug nipahinumdom sa ilang mga responsibilidad ug obligasyon sa ilang pagdawat sa mga yuta nga gihatag kanila sa gobyerno.

“Hinumdomi kanunay nga aduna kamuy responsibilidad sa pag-ugmad sa mga yuta nga gihatag kaninyu. Ang DAR mohatag kaninyu sa gikinahanglang suporta aron mahimong produktibo ang inyung mga umahan,” ang opisyal miingon.

Gidasig usab ni Fua ang mga mag-uuma sa pag-apil sa mga organisasyon sa ARB aron nga makapahimus sa mga  nagkalain-laing serbisyong ug suporta nga gitanyag sa ahensya pinaagi niining mga organisasyon.

EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity. Dumaguete crime rate drops

  DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Nov. 10 (PIA) -- The Dumaguete City Police Station has reported that between October 1 to Nov. 7, only 70 crime incidents were recorded, a decrease by 21% compared to 91 incidents in the same period of last year. In a City Peace and Order Council meeting, Lt. Col. Ronoel Fungo disclosed that no homicide, murder, robbery, carnapping, rape and rape with homicide cases were reported in the same period.  The City Health Office also reported that of the total 905 surrenderees or people who use drugs (PWUDs) in 2017, around 334 or 37% have completed their assessment as of Nov. 7, 2023. With the absence of drug dependents and pushers in Poblacion 4, 5, and 7, these are considered drug-free barangays, while Poblacion 6 was declared drug-cleared.  The City Health Office also noted that the low or no response to assessment of PWUDs are due to change of address, unknown whereabouts, conflict in work schedule, and imprisonment.  Meanwhile, the ...
