DOT-7 launches newly developed tourism circuits in CV

CEBU CITY, Cebu, Oct. 19 (PIA) -- The Department of Tourism Central Visayas (DOT-7) conducted a Validation Workshop of the Newly Developed Tourism Circuits and a Project Kick-Off Ceremony on October 18, at the Golden Prince Hotel in Cebu City for its two banner programs, the Farm-Fork-Fitness (FARMS7) and Outdoor Adventure Trails (OUTDOOR7).



This was part of the series of enabling activities for tourism stakeholders to promote and support the development of farm tourism and outdoor adventure tourism in Central Visayas

During the event, a Ceremonial Unveiling of Virtual Tours for the agency's newly documented tourism circuits was also held where the DOT-7 formally introduced its tourism product offerings, FARMS7 and OUTDOOR7, as new tourism activities ready to serve tourists in Central Visayas. The activity was attended by local tourism officers, private partners, and other tourism stakeholders. (RGC/PIA7 Cebu)

DSWD implements full online processing of minor travel clearance

  CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Central Visayas has announced that applications for minors traveling abroad are now exclusively processed online. Starting February 2025, the Centralized Processing Office – Minors Traveling Abroad (CPO-MTA) will process applications exclusively through its online platform at mta.dswd.gov.ph. DSWD7 Children Sector focal person Ligaya Dael said the shift to online processing aims to streamline the issuance of travel clearances for minors. “We can provide assistance on the online application process if they go to our office since it is still in a transition period but it is still online,” Dael said during the recent Kapihan sa PIA forum.
