QUEZON CITY, (PIA) -- Si Presidente Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. mogikan paingon sa New York karong Domingo, Septyembre 18, alang sa ika-77 nga sesyon sa United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), ang una nga hingpit nga personal nga panagtagbo sukad nahitabo ang Covid-19 pandemic.

Kini nagtimaan sa una nga pakiglambigit sa Presidente sa United Nations, ug sa iyang ikatulo nga opisyal nga pagbiyahe sa gawas sa nasud pagkahuman sa iyang malampuson nga pagbisita sa Indonesia ug Singapore sayo ning buwana.

Didto, ang Chief Executive gikatakda nga hisgutan ang mga plano sa iyang administrasyon alang sa paglambo sa Pilipinas gikan sa pandemya sa COVID-19, ato sa  iyang mensahe sa UNGA karong Setyembre 20.

Gibutyag ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles nga ang pakigpulong ni Presidente Marcos sa UNGA, magtutok sa mga interbensyon sa gobyerno sa Pilipinas, lakip na ang internasyonal nga kooperasyon aron mapadali ang pagrekober sa nasud gikan sa naglungtad nga pandemya sa COVID-19.

"In this case, the President's primary objective and in fact, his main policy in his governance, in this administration, is economic recovery. And so, all activities, particularly even those presidential activities, are related to this particular vision," matod ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles atol sa gipahigayon nga Palace press briefing.

"So, we are going to expect that his speech will be relating to how the Philippines will be recovering from this pandemic and where he intends to take this, and how he will do so in cooperation with other states," dugang sa Press Secretary.

Gipadangat usab ni Cruz-Angeles ang posibilidad nga makigkita si Marcos sa mga miyembro sa Filipino community sa New York City.

"The primary purpose will still be [his participation] in the [UN] General Assembly. That is the main purpose of the trip. There are no announcements or no calendared activities other than that and those congruent or collateral to this address, well of course, aside from what he usually does – meeting with the Filipino community when opportunity arises," si Cruz-Angeles miingon.

Ihatag ni Marcos ang nasudnong pamahayag sa Pilipinas atol sa sesyon sa hapon sa UNGA karong Septiyembre 20 sa mga alas 3:15 sa hapon (oras sa New York).

Sa labing taas nga lebel nga kinatibuk-ang debate, si Marcos moapil sa kapin sa 150 ka lain pang mga pangulo sa estado ug gobyerno.
