KALAHI-CIDSS road project nagtanyag og accessibility sa social services


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 2 (PIA) -- Ang Brgy. Cabagakian sa lungsod sa Dimiao ning bag-o lang nakadawat og 1-km concrete access road nga nagkantidad sa P7.5 milyon gikan sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) pinaagi sa Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS).

Ang maong proyekto nagsugod niadtong Agosto 2021 isip parte sa Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) nga pondo sa programa nga nagtinguha sa pagpalambo sa oportunidad sa panginabuhian samtang nagtubag sa nagkalain-laing kabalaka nga nakababag sa paglambo sa livelihood development sa usa  ka komunidad.

Tungod sa bag-ong naugmad nga dalan sa Cabagakian, ang accessible social service facilities mahimo nang anaa sa maong lugar nga gisaad sa Local Government Unit (LGU) sa Dimiao.

Ang LGU Dimiao misaad sa pagtukod og barangay center diin ang akses sa basic social services sama sa rural health unit gisugyot nga itukod samtang nagtinguha alang sa pagpasaka sa zonal value aron daghang katawhan ang mosalig sa pagsugod og bag-ong negosyo sa komunidad pinaagi sa pagbukas og nga livelihood enterprises.

Ang implementasyon nahuman sa pito ka buwan, apil na ang capacity-building ug pagbansay sa mga volunteers.

“Sa akong pila ka tuig nga pagpanerbisyo sa katawhan, karon pa gyud ko nakasinati nga nahatagan og katumanan ang among gipangandoy nga access road gikan sa DSWD. Nahimugso ang among mga damgo tungod sa nagkahiusang pag paningkamot sa katawhan," matud pa ni kanhi Cabagakian barangay kapitan Proceso Lagumbay sa iyang natan-aw sa kausaban sa iyang komunidad gikan sa pangandoy kaniadto sa pagbaton og mga proyekto ngadto sa pagsaksi sa turnover ceremony tungod sa KALAHI-CIDSS.

Bohol eyes sundown clinics to arrest spike in HIV cases

  TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PIA) -- The Bohol Provincial Health Office has raised the need to establish  sundown clinics in the province to arrest the increase in Human-Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) cases. Assistant Provincial Health Officer Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez disclosed that there was an alarming spike of 193 HIV cases in the province in November 2023. This surfaced during the recent community-based testing operations that the province conducted using its test kits.  This is on top of the cumulative 614 HIV cases recorded in the province in recent years, bringing the total to 8107 cases, said Lopez.  All local government units in Bohol have recorded HIV cases, he added.  “Part of the solution is putting up sundown clinics,” said PHO Health Care Support Division Head Dr. Emerson Mateo.  Sundown clinics Sundown clinics serve as main clinic facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.  They are open from 5:00 ...
