Environment Month, gisaulog sa nasod karong buwan sa Hunyo


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, June 2 (PIA) -- Sa pagsulod sa buwan ng Hunyo, gisaulog usab sa nasod ang Philippine Environment Month.

Ang kasaulogan karong tuig nagdala sa tema nga “Aksyon Para sa Natatanging Mundo” diin gi-awhag ang pagsalmot sa matag usa  sa mga isyung pangkalikopan sama sa pabag-o bag-o sa klima, polusyon, pagkaguba sa mga habitat, ug uban pa.

Dungan niining pagsaulog ang panawagan sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) alang sa mga sustainable actions o malungtarong mga aksyon aron batokan ang mga nahisgotang pangkalikopan nga emergency.

Gipanawagan usab sa buhatan ang kolektibo nga aksyon sa paglihok sa mga nasod sa tibuok kalibotan alang sa pagprotekta sa nag-inusara natong planeta.

Ang maong pagsaulog agi og pagsunod sa Proclamation No. 237, s. 1988 nga nagdeklarar sa buwan sa Hunyo isip Philippine Environment Month. (ECB/PIA7 Bohol)

OCD-7: ‘Only OCD can hold incident command system trainings’

He emphasized that only OCD is accredited to conduct trainings on Incident Command System. (PIA-7)  CEBU CITY, CEBU (PIA) — Only the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) can conduct training on the Incident Command System (ICS). This was emphasized by OCD-7 regional director Joel Erestain during the 13th episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas on Aug. 20 in Cebu City.  As the executive arm of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), OCD conducts ICS trainings, which is a standardized approach to managing emergency responses and disasters. “So kung mayro’ng mga iba na nagsasabi na nagte-train daw, hindi po sila accredited.
