Talisaynons laud Duterte admin for infra projects

CEBU CITY, Cebu, Oct. 22 (PIA) – Local officials and residents during the Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery held at the People’s Hall in Talisay City last Friday, October 22, remarked the several projects that brought positive changes to their city under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

Barangay officials and residents of Talisay City who attended the event shared the changes and improvements they experienced as the city benefited under the Build, Build, Build program of the Duterte Administration. 

The City of Talisay in the five years of President Duterte’s administration was able to receive various projects specifically in the area of infrastructure. Other developments being poured into the city include flood control projects, drainage system project, road clearing projects, and social and livelihood programs that helped the residents of Talisay during this pandemic.

Bulacao Brgy. Captain Banjo Abastillas said during the activity, some of the city's infrastructure projects are part of the Build, Build, Build program.

“We are the beneficiary of several projects under the Build, Build, Build program of President Duterte. A P2-million improvement of the gym, a multipurpose center which is 50 percent completed, a flood/erosion control project, and a P16-million drainage system,” said Abastillas.

Meanwhile, Linao Barangay Captai Ulysses Raganas attested the positive changes happened to Talisay as a result of the great efforts done by the administration of President Duterte.

“Daghan mi og nasinati nga mga kabag-ohan diri sa Talisay. Daghan og mga proyekto especially sa infrastructure sama sa drainage. (We experienced more changes here in Talisay City. More infrastructure projects such as drainage),” Raganas added.

Noneluna C. Bonella, a solo parent and a Department of Labor and Employment-TUPAD beneficiary,  also shared his testimony on the improvements happened to their city during the term of President Duterte.

“Akong nakita nga kabag-ohan diri sa Talisay City kay daghan gyud; limpyo na ang mga kalsada, limpyo na ang mga drainage og ang mga sitio. Among kapitan ug among mayor, maayo kaayo nila pagkadala (I’ve seen a lot of changes here in Talisay. The roads, drainage, and sitios are now clean also because of the efforts of our barangay captain and mayor),” Bonella said.

As one of the hosts of the six-day-long Duterte Legacy Caravan Cebu Leg, Talisay City showed that it is one of the main recipients of the major projects, programs, and services from the Duterte administration which indicates that Talisaynons have experienced and benefited the legacy of the President. 'Barangayanihan' caravan bares accomplishments under PRRD

  CEBU CITY, Cebu, Oct. 24 (PIA) -- The Duterte Legacy Caravan in Cebu dubbed as “Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” highlighted the various projects and programs implemented in Cebu under the Duterte administration that has brought about a positive change in the lives of its beneficiaries.  Cebu province benefited from several projects from the Duterte administration under the "Build, Build, Build" program such as bridges, diversion roads, evacuation centers, municipal buildings, public markets, road concreting, farm to market roads,  among others. EMB 7 creates composite team for water sampling

The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) 7 of the Department of Environment Natural Resources Central Visayas on Tuesday, Dec. 28, has created a composite team for water sampling in the different parts of the region affected by Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai). The EMB 7 deployed two teams conducting ambient water sampling in the Northern Cebu (Liloan area, Consolacion, Mandaue and Mactan Coastal Area) and Southern Cebu (Cebu Port Area, Talisay, Naga and San Fernando). The bureau said the first two samples from Punta Engaño near Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and Umapad, Mandaue City near the bridge and Petron) taken last Dec. 23 and 24 were brought to Ostrea Laboratory since the EMB laboratory cannot analyze due to no electricity.
