PRESS RELEASE: PSA-OCRG recognizes LCRO-Siquijor in nat’l awards

The Local Civil Registry Offices (LCRO) of Siquijor, Siquijor was among the top national awardees for the year 2020 during the first ever National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (1NCCRVS) held Sept. 1-3 via video conferencing.   

The awarding of the Outstanding LCROs nationwide gives recognition to  the exemplary efforts of the LCROs with regards to their overall Civil Registration activities. 

The LCRO of Siquijor, Siquijor led by MCR Fernando Jose Pescante, Jr. bagged fifth place in the Medium Category and was recognized as one of the Hall of Fame awardees as a consistent awardee in five years.

LCRO-Siquijor belonged to the medium category with approximately 1,000 to 1,999 submitted civil registry documents.  

Timely submission of registered documents with quality entries was one of the categories being evaluated aside from the said activities of the LCROs.

Also recognized were ten outstanding LCROs in each of the following categories: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Super Extra Large who have exhibited remarkable performance in civil registration and vital statistics. 

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority here, through the LCRO awards, the agency aims to inspire and encourage everyone to be involved and actively participate in all Civil Registration and Vital Statistics initiatives, while helping deliver quality services to the Filipino people amid the COVID-19 pandemic. PVAO to partner with hospitals for improved medical care access of veterans
